To install the GROMACS software, you can either use binaries provided for selected platforms (check under Binaries or Linux RPMS) or compile the source code (under Source Code).

We also provide some copies of other software packages, both programs that might be necessary to install GROMACS and analysis/visualization tools that we find useful. It is recommended to check the original sites of these for newer version.

Major changes and new features in each release are listed under the features page.

If you wonder if a certain bug has been fixed or know more about minor modifications we also provide an extensive list of changes, bugfixes and revisions.

Finally, you can check out the contributed software that contains external utility programs written by our users and modifications to the Gromacs source code.

You can also upload your own developed software for GROMACS by:

Login with Username and Password . (this you can get by creating one, up to the right on this page,)
Select [User Contributions)
Select correct Category
Click on the icon "Submit a new document" and follow the instructions.
Note that you can only upload the following files formats: pdf, rar, zip, tgz, because of security reasons.

Note: Only file types zip, rar, and pdf can be uploaded.
