Peregrine in flight
The peregrine (Falco Peregrinus) exemplifies the qualities of GROMACS.
  • Fast: speeds up to 300 km/hour have been reported
  • Free: birds are of course the ultimate sign of freedom due to the ability to fly
  • Flexible: the peregrine is a very agile hunter usually preying on other birds. It can often be found in cities during winter time, diminishing the local pigeon population.

Like GROMACS, the peregrine is present on all continents except Antarctica. For more information on the peregrine please visit the excellent website of the Royal society for the protection of birds.
