We appreciate your patience. No really. One of the most asked questions when the GROMACS developers meet people is, "When will verion 4 be released". And in the spirit of free software development, the only correct answer is: "Three minutes after it is ready". Sice GROMACS 4.0 will feature some radical changes in the MD engine we can not just release a code that has not been thoroughly tested, and, in addition, we are adding other new stuff, not as glamorous as the MD bit, but everything has to work. We are also extending the test suite such that it will be easier to verify that your GROMACS installation is correct. Please bear with us a few more months. |
