Minimum Image Convention

The minimum image convention states that, in a periodic system, the longest cutoff may be no longer than half the shortest box vector.  This requirement is based on the periodicity of the system, such that if a particle sees its own periodic image, duplicate forces are calculated and the results are incorrect.
