Andersen

The thermostat derived by Andersen applies a stochastic force to a random particle in the simulated system to relax its momentum to that of the target temperature.  It leads to discontinuities in the trajectory, and thus is not often used in biological simulations, but does produce a correct kinetic ensemble.
