.trr File

A .trr file is a full-precision trajectory containing coordinate, velocity, and force information, according to the nstxout, nstvout, and nstfout options specified in the .mdp file.  In GROMACS version 3.3.x and earlier, a .trr file is necessary to obtain an exact restart of a crashed simulation.
