XTC Library

The plan is here to make a separate library for reading and writing xtc, edr and trr files, which will be distributed under the lesser GNU public license.

This has now been realized and a first version was released on April 3rd 2009. The current version is 1.1 and it can be downloaded from ftp://ftp.gromacs.org/pub/contrib/xdrfile-1.1.tar.gz

Changes in 1.1 since 1.0:

• Segmentation fault during attempted xdrfile_close in libxdrfile fixed
• License issues resolved (everything is now properly LGPL)
• More GNU complient packaging including possibility of running make test after compilation
